How amazing are the colours in this Protea bloom? I spotted this one in bushland in Pemberton, which is in the southwest of Western Australia.
Wikipedia tells me that the genus Protea was named in 1735 by
Carl Linnaeus after the Greek god
Proteus, who could change his form at will, because they have such a wide variety of forms.
I was SO inspired by this colour that I made a Wool Felt version... what do you think? https://www.rosepetalcollections.com.au/blogs/news/101846214-colour-inspirations-the-portea-bloom
